Jake OdorizziThe Rays will get another piece of the rotation back on Saturday when Jake Odorizzi will be activated and start against the Houston Astros, the team told the media after last night’s game (via TampaBay.com).

This was the plan all along, however, the Rays were waiting to make sure Odorizzi felt fine after his bullpen session on Wednesday.

The start will be Odorizzi’s first since June 5. He had a 2.47 ERA in 12 starts before going on the disabled list for a month with a strained oblique muscle. In two minor league rehab starts, Odorizzi allowed just 1 run in 9.2 innings with 8 strikeouts and 2 walks.
