Go ahead and get excited, Rays fans, the Rays have a new slugger, and his name is Corey Dickerson.

On Thursday, Dickerson showed off that prodigious power with a long home run that landed on the roof of the building beyond the right field wall.

Oh mamma.

The best part of that video is the fans beyond the right fence. They are looking straight up as the ball travels well over their heads.

Granted this after the ball rolled a ways, but according to the Rays, the ball came to rest 569 feet from home plate.

Air's a lot thicker on the Bay than it is in Denver, but that ball still carried forever.

  2. Joe Dunn says:

I was there and when he hit it, you KNEW he got every bit of it. Guyer hit one that was crushed also.

  3. MONTE says:

Does this mean we're going to quit losing so many 3-2 and 4-3 and 2-1 games?
