Ben Zobrist will start in the outfield tonight for the second time this season. Logan Forsythe will start at second base. Forsythe has been questionable at best in the outfield and he will likely start playing more second base when Joe Maddon wants to get him into the lineup… Sam Fuld is in the lineup tonight for the Twins…Cheyenne Woods, Tiger’s niece, is throwing out the first pitch tonight…Rays are tied with the Mariners and Nationals with 5 stolen bases, the fewest in baseball.

Dejesus had a 2014 breakout last night, lets hope Logan does tonight. As Rays fans we have more patience with guys we know who start slow but newer Rays like Guyer and brand new Rays like Forsythe....well its hard to be patient.

But if his projection as a super utility like a Zobrist-lite fail defense wise, thats hard to stick with and hang on to a roster spot. I strongly questioned the Forsythe acquisition from the beginning but am still willing to give him a chance to succeed.

To me the trade was what I call a matchstick trade. Most key players involved are in the 24-28 range. We got five they got two. Friedman insisted that Logan was the key piece and that the Rays had been looking at him for a couple of years. When Friedman says that you listen. So far Boxburger seems the key to me. Both Logan and Guyer fail to impress both offensively and defensively. Meanwhile my buddy in Durham swears by Cole Figuroa. Says he's a Sammy Fuld type player, all out all the time. How long before the Rays lose patience? Don't know but I'm close.
