Joe is back with his postgame thoughts….

Wait a minute. The Rays didn’t have one .100-and-change hitter in the lineup last night. How bout that!

Karlos Pena sat out his first game of the 2012 season and the Rays bombed the Rangers with 16 hits, including five homers, along with four singles by first baseman Jeff Keppinger. … It must have been the night off Tuesday that sparked Keppinger. (Sarcasm)

The wackiest team in baseball cruised to the 8-4 victory. It was as close to a must-win as you can have in August. And now the Rays head to Toronto to take on the washed out Blue Jays while the Yankees and Orioles will smack each other around over the weekend in New York.

Joe embraces the rollercoaster ride, so Joe’s legitimately celebrating in a big way right now. Getting swept in Texas could have brought some long term damage to the good guys.

Nice to have some offense to support the #1 pitching staff in all of baseball. Anyone else notice the Rays are #1 in ERA, WHIP and BAA? That's really saying something when an AL team can beat out the best NL teams in those categories because they don't have the luxury of facing a pitcher every 9 batters.
