Playing A Little Pepper

What is the biggest concern heading into the second half?

Yes, the defense has been awful by Rays standards, but as “bad” as they have been with the leather, they are still an average defensive club. Their gloves aren’t winning many games, but they aren’t losing many either. The bigger concern is the offense. Carlos Pena hasn’t had one of his prolonged hot streaks. There have been too many injuries to important bats. But most importantly, the Rays need Evan Longoria back. There is some hope he will be back in August, but the team doesn’t sound confident. In the meantime, the offense will still sputter…WILL WE SEE EVAN LONGORIA BEFORE SEPTEMBER?

Song to get you pumped up

I held a Twitter vote for favorite “Friday” song. There was a tie (sorry Rebecca Black fans)…
