Playing A Little Pepper

With Matt Moore, Alex Cobb, and Desmond Jennings now in the majors, who is the next great prospect that will join the Rays and when will he arrive?

Considering the number of injuries the Rays have had, there is a good chance we would have already seen Tim Beckham if he had not been suspended, and there is still a chance that will happen later this year. Especially if you consider there is not much else that is close. Alex Torres has fallen to the point where he is not even a top prospect any longer. And Hak-Ju Lee has been erratic with both the bat and the glove this year in double-A. Do you consider Chris Archer a top prospect? We’re not convinced yet…TIM BECKHAM BY DEFAULT

    Almost right! Hellickson not Moore

  2. Dave L says:

nice to see lobaton in the lineup. but helli is the only starter i feel comfortable having Molina catch.

he relies more on control and pitch placement and less on big breaks and curves like the others.

Finally got Sutton & Johnson contributing, so what does Momentum killer Maddon do, straight to the Bench....
ANYBODY sitting on the bench gets more hits tonight than Pena so Maddon close you eyes and pick one..we need the help!

    • Dave L says:

      1 for 3, 2 BB, 1 RBI

You can't just randomly sit him. He needs to face RHP but i would platoon him against lefties as they are the ones crushing him his OBP is .70+ lower

      • don says:

I agree, anytime Pena walks(how dumb can opposing pitcher be) and he gets an RBI hit in the same game, even though the Rays were ahead 4 to 1 at the time its fabulous...
Gullien oppened his mouth..wants to give the Rays a couple of million to build a new stadium, after all he got 29,000 fans in his $600,000 mil dollar stadium... about 5 or 6,000 more than the Rays would have drawn in their "dump", How much is that per fan $100,000?....seems like a nice investment OZ....where your money???
