Playing A Little Pepper

If the Rays are playing a one-game Wild Card playoff and both David Price and James Shields is available, who gets the start?

I would be happy with either, but for one game, I want David Price. And one of the biggest reasons is that I will know right away if Price is on his game. Shields’ meltdowns tend to come at unexpected moments when 2 runners are on and all of a sudden he hangs a changeup that is morphed into a 400-foot home run. With Price, if he looks strong in the first inning, I know he’ll bring 6 strong innings. At that point, pull him and let the bullpen do their thing…KING DAVID

Maddons cracking.....putting decent hitters at top of lineup, but Joe whats Pena going to think?

Just got back from the Trop.

Picked the right game to go to this week. 11 runs with only 1 homer is alot.

This was Sheltons dream game as the walks set up everything. Pena walking 4 times and scoring 4 times that has to be some type of record.

We were above third base and all the contested plays at home were with our more lumbering runners but it all worked somehow.

Also from our angle the balls and strikes were tough to gauge but Matts curve was dropping in nicely for strikes at crucial moments.
