Playing A Little Pepper

It has been an ugly road trip so far. What worries you the most?

The injuries are still a concern, but outside of Sam Fuld, nothing has been serious yet. Just a lot of little annoying things. And the bullpen depth is a bit worrisome, but that really only means 4-1 losses become 12-2 losses late in the game. Besides, the starting pitching is too good to keep taking dumps on the mound. No, the only real concern is the lack of stolen bases. So far, the Rays have one stolen base in 9 games. This team needs to run, whether or not BJ Upton is in the lineup. Like the “and-one” in basketball, there is more than one way to hit a double. And the Rays specialize in turning singles and walks into extra-base hits…THE LACK OF STEALS
