This incredible video comes to us via our friends at Watching Durham Bulls Baseball.

To set the stage: The Durham Bulls are playing the Norfolk Tides, when a ball hit by the Tides appears to clear the fence for a home run. Or did it? The umpire goes out for a look and finds the ball trapped between the wall and the padding.

The Tides manager, apparently not convinced that was the ball, proceeds to go searching for the baseball, possibly any baseball, that is on the other side of the fence. Sillyness ensues…

Is that the same manager that went ape shit a few seasons back and started using the rosin bag as a grenade?

    An update:

According to the Herald-Sun [Durham newspaper], along with his lineup card, Charlie Montoyo sent Tides’ Manager Gary Allenson a baseball, telling him that he found it out in center field.
