Here is what the Rays will be wearing on the 4th of July in Yankee Stadium via the good folks at Uni-Watch.com where you can see the full set.

It is not unusual for MLB to go the stars-and-stripes route on the Fourth, but hoo boy is this a colossal mess. The jersey looks like it was bedazzled by a 13-year-old and the hat looks like one seen at Lids that 99% of us either laugh or cringe at when we see them.

Just brutal. I might have to stick to Dave and Andy on the Fourth.

Who is in charge of this stuff? Probably the same idiots that put the sunburst on everything. They need to be fired

There are only so many ways you can patriotize these uniforms. Personally I'd rather see all the patriotic, camo, etc. nonsense mothballed in favor of a simple flag on the sleeve. That way it seems patriotic without looking like a cash grab by MLB. The same for all the causes. Add a simple ribbon to the unoform, I don't need to see putrid pink bats, gloves, and chest protectors.

will our manager wear it, lol. Speaking of him, I think he is doing a really good job, as is our coaching staff. I do wish he could keep the pitchers out there a little more than 6 innings or 80 pitches it seems, but other than that I like the aggressive style they have been playing. GO RAYS!!!

They would be better served to have USA jersey's (like in the World Classic) worn by every team on the 4th of July; one team in grey one in white with their team logo on the sleeve. Done.

IMO the hat isn't too bad.. the jersey, well, that's another story.
