USATSI_8022669_154511044_lowresThe big news coming out of the Rays Camp is that Raul Ibanez has withdrawn his name for consideration to be the next Rays manager, saying he wants to spend more time with his family according to the Tampa Bay Times.

This leaves Don Wakamatsu and Kevin Cash as the two finalists for the position.

It sounds like the Rays are highly impressed with both of the remaining candidates. However, I am now rooting against Wakamatsu because I live the idea of how ironic it would be if the Rays had a manager named “Cash.”

Is former infielder Don Money available to be a bench coach?
