When the David Price trade was finalized, one of the players in the deal, Austin Jackson, was standing in center field in the middle of an at bat when he was pulled from the game. The best of this was that Jackson was able to jog off the field to a standing ovations and was greeted in the dugout with hugs from his teammates.
Unfortunately, most trades don’t work this way and fans rarely know when they are watching one of their favorite players in their team’s uniform for the final time.
For David Price, it was a 94 mph fastball to Ryan Braun that ended the seventh inning on Wednesday. Braun grounded out.
One final round of high-fives from the teammates waiting at the top step.
