Just an astonishing lack of hitting. I mean the season’s been over for a while. So, shutouts (of us) are basically a good thing now. They will eventually get Shelton canned. They will ensure a number 1 pick. I’ll tell you what, though. If they don’t get some prospects back for Price, Zobrist, and others (Joyce and maybe Jennings), we’re going to be the Devil Rays again for another few years.

  2. Brian B says:

Is Russ Branyan still with Rays Mexico league. He was tearing it up earlier this year. Let’s get some hitting up here!

    • Jason says:

Why once Shelton gets into your mind he totally screws your abilities up. Keep him away until Shelton is gone.

  3. Rob says:

The most consecutive shutout losses is 4. It’s happened 11 times, with the most recent being the Chicago Cubs in 1968.

  4. Jim says:

    Cork,
Can we adjust the graph so that it starts favoring the opposing team BEFORE the game starts? Just skew the line a little to compensate for the Shelton variable.

  5. Kev says:

What a bizarre year. Even when we manage to get the quality starts we need from guys like Odorizzi, Price, and Bedard the offense still can’t muster ANY run support. Dark times indeed.
