Playing A Little Pepper

With Wil Myers on the DL and the team playing in Miami, Joe Maddon is shaking up the lineup tonight with Ben Zobrist leading off and playing right field. Also, Ali Solis is back behind the plate which means he did not have a concussion after being hit in the face with a ball that bounced off the catcher…The Rays have lost six straight games. The Rays haven’t lost seven straight since an 11-game skid in 2009. The Rays have won 13 of their last 14 against the Marlins including 4-0 last year.

  1. Skateman says:

By my count we've scored 2 runs in the last 37 innings (we're through the third in today's game). Sorry. That's not fricking acceptable. You could bring up Durham and they'd do better than that. Probably a lot better, so long as Derek Shelton didn't give them any advice. I'm literally at the point where I don't want them to score runs. The season's done anyway. And the worse they hit the greater the chance that Shelton will leave.

  2. jason says:

Randy Johnson is looking good on the mound for the fish....could've sworn he retired years ago though......

  3. Rob says:

Ugh - there is nothing to say anymore. Bottom line is they just suck.

  4. Cristian Lara says:

Usually when the rays offense is in a slump for two or three games Derek Shelton is the first to be brought up. They have been doing bad the whole season and his name hasn't been heard!
