Brad Boxberger has been added to the roster as expected. He may not stay up all season but Boxberger is probably now part of the regular bullpen rotation. The Rays like to shuffle bullpen guys back and forth to Durham. It’s like having 9-10 relievers instead of 7. The problem is, it is the guys with minor league options who have to keep going back and forth, so Boxberger will probably be sent back down at some point and then return later…David DeJesus is once again the DH tonight with Matt Joyce remaining in left field…Evan Longoria is 9-19 with 4 home runs against tonight’s starter, Chris Tillman.

After last season I came to the conclusion that DeJesus was a defensive upgrade in the out field over Joyce. But this year I'm not so sure. Joyce has a nice arm, seems to play smart anticipation wise and gets to all the balls. Was DeJesus playing hurt all this year? Because he hasn't looked as dynamic as he did last year.

I saw a stat on MLB network where the Rays lead MLB in win percentage when getting a quality start which means it could be alot worse, that at least we've been able to score when we get a good starter and our bullpen aces can usually close the door.

Unfortunately we have only had something like 9 quality starts and that last one by Bedard was the first one by someone not named Price or Archer right?
