Joe MaddonPlaying A Little Pepper

Tonight’s lineup (see below) is becoming the go-to lineup for Joe Maddon with the only change being Matt Joyce and David DeJesus alternating DH and left field…Rays starting pitchers have pitched 5 innings or less in 8 of last 10 games, the worst streak for the Rays since 2006…The Rays are 7-2 in games started by tonight’s (Chris Archer) and Sunday’s (David Price) starters. They are 3-10 in all other games.

  1. Dave L says:

We are facing another kid we have never seen but its always more promising if hes a righty and we can use our more veteran, proven and successful lefty tinged crew.

This is our ideal batting order right now.

Note: Maddon has abandoned the Escobar as 2nd leadoff #9-curiousity lately. I never quite understood the logic of it.

  2. Dean says:

Did that game last night really happen?? Speechless.

  3. Rob says:

Yep - this season is starting to take on the feel of 2009.

  4. ken says:

A few more games like that and the Rays will be in a prime position to determine this year's World Series champ. The Price is beginning to look right.

  5. Casey says:

Lets pray Balfour hasn't completely lost his marbles after that big blow.
