Wil MyersThe GBT – The Good, The Bad and The Telling sandwich, where The Bad is nice and lean and the The Telling is ripe.

RAYS 11, Twins 3 (boxscore)

THE GOOD: Matt Moore. Moore looked a little shaky early in the game as he gave up 3 hits and 3 walks to the first 11 batters he faced. But his fastball had good pop on it and really his big problem right now is just hitting his spots. That will come and when it does Moore is going to be devastating…Wil Myers. Batting leadoff for the first time in his professional career, Myers delivered with 3 doubles, and they all came in the first 3 innings (see video below).

THE BAD: 3.5 Hour Night Games. Nobody needs 3.5 hour night games in the spring. Evan Longoria did not get to bed until 1:00 AM and had a 6:00 AM wake-up call.

THE TELLING: Non-roster invitees Eddy Rodriguez and Jeremy Moore were cut and reassigned to minor league camp…The Rays are now 12-4-2 in the spring, tops in the Grapefruit League. Only the Indians (15-4) in Arizona have a better record…Alex Cobb threw 86 pitches in a simulated game on Monday…Wil Myers will bat leadoff again today…Chris Archer will pitch in a minor league game today rather than face the Orioles…Sean Rodriguez will be back in the lineup today after missing several games with a tight hamstring.
