Here is a look at the Rays’ Spring Training roster (including a few players that have already been cut) and how it breaks down by age.

The average age of the 63 players is 28.3, up from 27.8 a year ago. Considering the average big leaguer peaks around ages 28-29, this seems to be optimal. Of the players in camp, 47 are in their 20s and 16 are in their 30s. Players in green are on the 40-man roster. Players in pink are non-roster invitees.
