Playing A Little Pepper

There were a few hundred tickets available this afternoon for game 4, but it is expected to sell out…At its peak, 395,000 homes in the Bay Area were tuned to TBS for game 3 on Monday night. That is more than 300,000 more than the average Rays game during the regular season (89,000) and does not include the Orlando market. For comparison, the average Yankees broadcast this season was on in 244,000 homes. Sure, this is the postseason, but that is still a HUGE number…The Rays will donate $10,000 for Jose Lobaton’s home run that landed in the Rays tank. $5,000 will go to the Florida Aquarium and $5,000 will go to the charity of Lobaton’s choice…Tonight is the fifth game in ten days in which the Rays are facing elimination…Anybody feel good about Jeremy Hellickson pitching tonight? At least we know Chris Archer and Matt Moore are available out of the ‘pen. Of course, if they are needed, the game will probably already be lost.

Papi is 9 for 24 with 3 homers and throw in 7 walks and only 1 K against Helli. I would not pitch to him plus he clogs up the other cheetahs and gazelles on the basepaths. Then it just increases the chance late in the game they will mercifully, for us, run for him.

Walk him 3 more times if you have to.

Johnson starting over Young is a head scratcher Kellys numbers agianst Peavy are bad and Delmons are good plus isnt Johnson pretty cold right now?.

Is Delmon as a secret weapon pinch hitter late in the game worth that much? It remind me of the Indians play in game where I kept hearing that the grizzled Giambi was the heart and soul in the pregame then they dont even play him.

Loneys hot plus has the most success on the team vs Peavy. Keep it up James!

One more win tonite is all we need!
