Playing A Little Pepper

Olympic silver medal beach volleyballer Jennifer Kessy is throwing out the first pitch tonight…Jose Molina is not with the team. He is away dealing with a family matter. It is unclear when he will return…The September 21st game (Saturday) against the Orioles has been moved to 1:05 as Fox will broadcast it nationally…There are currently 5 teams with 2 games of each other for the second AL Wild Card spot. However, that is a little deceiving as the Rays are up on the Royals by 3 games in the loss column. Remember, teams can add wins. They cannot subtract losses…Kelly Johnson has started just 3 of the last 11 games…After tonight’s game, the Rays will have to fly up to Minneapolis for a game tomorrow. Remember, the Rays are playing the Red Sox, so tonight’s game won’t end until 10:30 at the earliest. They’ll be lucky to be on the plane by 1:00 AM for their 3.5 hour flight. The Rays won’t be to their hotel until 5-6:00 in the morning, Tampa time.
