Playing A Little Pepper

The Rays have just six series remaining in the 2013 season. Four of those series are against playoff teams (Red Sox, Rangers) or teams still in contention (Yankees, Orioles). The Rays do have 11 of the next 14 at The Trop before finishing with a 6-game road trip to New York and Toronto. However, the one road series in the next two weeks won’t be easy. The Rays have a night game on Thursday and will have to fly to Minneapolis in the middle of the night for a game on Friday. The Rays then have to fly home on Sunday to start a series on Monday against the Rangers…The Rays are just 6-10 against the Red Sox this season, ensuring their first losing season series against Boston since 2007.

  1. Rob says:

If they make it in, they will be backing in and depending on other teams to lose. I don't see them going 12-8. That's .600 ball, and while they have the ability to get hot, that seems like a stretch.

  2. Rob says:

Ah yes, the old take two strikes and swing at crap on the third one strategy.

  3. Ken says:

The clock is ticking and the offensive melt down continues.
