After a strong July, Chris Archer has had three straight rough outings since the calendar turned to August (if we count the 1.2 inning start in which he was pulled with a forearm injury). Well, after tonight’s start Kelly Nash asked Archer what was the difference between July and August.
If we ignore for a moment the arbitrary nature of breaking down the baseball season into segments defined by 12 random months on a calendar originally introduced by Julius Caesar, the question is really asking “dude, why were you good and now you suck?”
Well, Archer started to answer the question. And then he went off on some random tangent about nature and trees and WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT?!…
In all seriousness, good on Archer. Cliches suck. Tree are awesome. Archer is THE TREE. The TREE just needs some weather to grow..
