Playing A Little Pepper

After the bullpen had to pitch 8 innings last night (this morning) Josh Lueke was sent to Durham and Alex Torres was called up to help out. Also, Chris Archer was officially added to the roster and Jeff Beliveau was sent back to triple-A…Joe Maddon also told the media that Jeremy Hellickson will start tomorrow even though Matt Moore only threw one inning last night. Moore is a possibility to start on Tuesday…The Rays’ 6-game winning streak is the longest current streak in baseball. They are 30-24, 2 games behind the Red Sox and 1 game behind the Yankees…Many of the Rays did not make it back to the hotel until 4:00 AM, just 9 hours before today’s first pitch. Last night’s 4 hours, 49 minutes of combined delays was the 9th longest rain delay in MLB history…Rays pitchers have not allowed an earned run in the last 3 games.
