Playing A Little Pepper

Alex Cobb has been placed on the bereavement list after his grandmother passed away. He’ll be away from the team for three days. Jake Odorizzi was called up to take the roster spot and will help out in the bullpen…The Rays will face a lefty tonight for the first time in more than two weeks. As a result, Desmond Jennings is back in the leadoff spot for the first time in 15 games. Also, Sean Rodriguez is back in the starting lineup for the first time in 15 games.

    What about Colome?

Well Hernandez takes the bump again. So far hes been usually averaging 6 innings and with a 5 ERA that averages out to about 3 1/3 runs. Having the lowest run support amongst the starters hasn’t helped his image any.

My thoughts on him have evolved but not much. When I said I wasn’t driiving the bus I just meant I lost hope in him becoming one of our better starters which I had at the start. But I still think we need him to start games and still think he can be effective in that role,

We need to score runs tonite to win 4.27 might not do it.
