Playing A Little Pepper

All-Star game voting is dumb (Derek Jeter has nearly as many votes as Evan Longoria). David Price is awesome. Price loves to hit. So what would happen if we started a write-in campaign to vote Price to the All-Star game as the starting designated hitter?

You can go to THIS LINK and vote up to 35 times. Just add “David Price” to the write-in with “Designated Hitter” as position.

Price has more than 160,000 followers on Twitter. If every one of them voted just 7 times, Price would be leading the voting for A.L. DH . Or we just need about 30,000 people to vote the maximum 35 times to catch up to David Ortiz who has 1,045,283 votes.

But we’ll need help. This little website can’t do this by ourselves. So we need to spread the word. Tell people about #PriceForDH. Tell other websites. There are enough people out there that hate All-Star voting that we should be able to make a splash.

    #PriceForDH, I love it!

  2. Drew says:

TK is taking BA’s place alongside Staats today

Lets wait to see starting line ups before we proclaim the Voters “Dumb”
Maybe voters thought Longoria was going to play SS, he can’t make 3rd base in voting, then Jeter (SS) IS better (lifetime-hurt recently)

    • Don says:

Besides, everyone here wnats to Vote Luke Scott (.227) for DH, Friedman said he was the Best he could find for $5mil

      • OriginalTom says:

I was not crazy about the Scott signing either but to be fair he signed for 2.75M not 5M. Even if he makes all the incentives it would only be 3.4M.

  4. JJ says:

How about an All PED/ROIDS HR derby before the regular one. I doubt any Rays would make that lineup, it would be littered with Jays, A’s, Yanks, Rangers and Tigers.
