SportsCenter anchor Sara Walsh, who grew up in the Bay Area, threw out the first pitch at The Trop on Wednesday night.

She wore a bedazzled jersey, slammed the rosin bag like a boss, and her pitch to David Price wasn’t terrible. It was all a decent effort until she made an odd joke about Price hitting home runs off of everybody.

[UPDATE] We spoke with Sara, and as a couple of readers pointed out, she was joking about Miguel Cabrera hitting home runs off of everybody, which makes much more sense (even though Price does fancy himself a home run hitter, which is what threw off my thinking and apparently my hearing)…

    Cork,

The joke was that Cabrera hits homers off of everyone, not Price.

BTW, is it Matt? or is it Don? Or is it Joel? Or is it Joel Schwartzman? Or is it Huey Lewis? Or is it Barry Smith? Or is it Larry G? So many names using the same IP address.

Here’s the thing…I dont believe in censorship. I don’t like banning people. There are other Rays websites that do that. You don’t even have to use your real name (I didn’t for the first few years). But from now on, use ONE name. Capisce?
