Alex Cobb was hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Eric Hosmer in the fifth inning of today’s game. The ball was reportedly traveling 102 mph and hit Cobb on the right ear.

According to the Rays Cobb never lost consciousness and was taken to Bayfront Medical Center. He does have a mild concussion, but all other tests were normal.

    As much as we like to complain , i really pray to god he is ok, i don't ever want to see any player have that happen too. It doesn't matter what team he is on.
