Playing A Little Pepper

Today’s game is going to be the Perfect Storm of Bad Attendance: 1) it’s a day game; 2) there is horrible weather; and 3) many thought game would be cancelled. I would be shocked if there are 5,000 people at the game. Oh, and by the way, the Rays are averaging 21,322 fans per game (22nd in MLB). The Royals are averaging 18,789 (28th). In fact, the Rays are averaging more fans per game (21,322) than four teams that play in bigger television markets: Astros, White Sox, A’s, and Mariners.
