Via Uni-Watch.com, all Major League teams will be wearing camo caps and jerseys with camo logos and lettering on Memorial Day. This is what the Rays’ version will look like (click on image for a larger version)…

    Memorial Day is to honor the war dead, camo seems a little tacky to that end. Wear a flag on your uniform, have an honor guard etc. is the way to honor war dead, not pretending to be soldiers.

    The jersey is what it is, thought the hat is bad ass! And, I would assume proceeds from the sales of the unis will going to military charities…

    So, just like the Padres have been doing every Sunday for almost 20 years.

    Did they just now notice they have a big military base nearby that is the home of 2 major commands: (1) the one in charge of the wars in the Middle East, and (2) the one in charge of the special forces units that killed bin Laden?
