Jose Molina had one of his fantastically hysterical stand-up doubles during today’s loss to the Yankees. The play at second base was close. And if it feels like Molina is slow even when he is running “hard,” well, that’s an understatement.

Well, according to Tater Tot Tracker, Carlos Gomez had two home run “trots” today that were clocked at 17.76 seconds and 18.2 seconds. We clocked Molina at 9.18 seconds from contact-to-second base. That is more than half of the time it took Gomez to round the bases on both of his home runs. But to be sure, we went to the tape.
