Playing A Little Pepper

Poor Stephen Vogt, but maybe this is the opportunity he needs. After being designated for assignment prior to the start of the season, Vogt has been traded to the A’s for a player to be named later. And thus ends maybe the most heart-breaking tenure in Rays history. Vogt played in 18 games for the Rays and went 0-25. And it wasn’t like he struck out 23 times. He struck out twice. That means he put the ball in play 23 times and never got a hit. Hopefully he will get his shot with the A’s and finally get one of those balls to find an opening.

    Pitcher Debut

Shields pitches his a** off and loses a run support nightmare. Nice Job James.

WD get abused by the Phils. 4 Runs in 4 innings including 2 dingers ouch! Gets yanked mercifully then the Royals come alive and cover up that mess with 13 unanswered runs.

Its too early I know but.....

Los, Kepp and BJ combine for 4 for about 50 at bats. Zero RBI, Los scored a run. Approaching 20 K's.

Our least offensive productive additon? Escobar who has played SS like a wizard which makes up for it.
