Playing A Little Pepper

Stuart Sternberg will attend tonight’s game…In the first 12 games of the season, the Rays hit .205 with 5 HRs and scored 2.9 runs per game. In the 7 games since, they are batting .267 with 15 HRs and have scored 5.4 runs per game…Since the start of the 2008 season, the Rays are 258-157 at home. Only the Yankees (265-149) have a better home record over that span…The Rays have allowed 3 hits or less in 3 straight games. The last time a team had a longer streak was a the ’74 Orioles (4). That was a pretty decent rotation.

History tells us Escobar and Joyce have murdered Hughes and Johnson and Zo have struggled against him. Lets see how Escobar responds to the 6 spot.

if the righties at the top of the order get on we could be in for a big night.

So lets see what tonite has in store for us. I'm not worried about Price, I think its just a Cy Young offseason hangover. I think he has a nice start tonite, although a team 3 hitter might be asking alot.
