The Rays announced today another round of cuts before today’s game with more expected following the game (via Marc Topkin). From the 40-man roster, Alex Colome, Frank De Los Santos, Mike Montgomery, Felipe Rivero, and Enny Romero were reassigned to minor league camp. In addition, non-roster invitees Matt Buschmann, Marquis Fleming, and Adam Liberatore were cut.

I heard on WDAE Mike Montgomery was reassigned to Durham. They referred to it as a cut. If true for Mike it was a promotion. He was demoted to AA last year by the Royals and didnt shine even there
I expect Montgomery to start 2013 with his namesake city with the Biscuits its not bad but its normal
