Fernando Rodney was called upon to close out the Dominican Republic’s 9-3 win over Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic. And as you can see in the image below, his cap has discovered a new level of crookedness this season. Rodney has also reached a new level of confidence. At one point during the inning, he told Miguel Cabrera that he was only going to throw fastballs. Cabrera flied out to right field. And of course, after the final out, Rodney unleashed his bow-and-arrow (see GIF below)…

He might as well just wear the hat backwards sand lot style at this point

If Triple-Crown winner Cabrera got a few more feet on the ball last night, we might be singing a lil' bit different tune today... --)->

Rodney's cap is not crooked. His head is. Early diagnosis of devil possession. Quick..call an exorcist!

I don't like someone who wants to be different...just to be different, lots of minorities do that on the street.... BUT Rodney is building a "Brand", and its working, everyone is talking about his Hat and his shooting arrows, If he was in a major market, NY, Bos. LA, Phil. most of the kids and fans would be wearing their hats that way and shooting arrows on the street & in the stands....
    but his legacy grows...

He was in the "LA" market and he was terrible. Us Angel fans are schadenfreuding so hard it's not even funny. The guy was a complainer with us and never produced, and now he wants to do this. No thanks. Good for him, but why didn't he produce like this with our team? Plenty of pitchers have come here and succeeded.

Rodney is showing so much disrespect towards the game that it makes me sick. You never saw Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson or any of the other great pitchers do something like that, so why does he feel that he should do it? Next thing you know he will be wearing his pants down at his crotch.

Rodney is a great pitcher but if I were his coach I would not let him wear his cap like that. Baseball players have worn their caps straight for over 100 years...what makes him better than those folks. Show some respect.

Man some of you are uptight, if you want everyone to be the exact same i'm sure you could go to North Korea. Lighten up, its not hurting anyone, just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean hes trying to disrespect the game.

OK then let's go with it just looks ridiculous. Last year might have been him showing some individuality, but based on the photo above, he's just trying to get attention. the DR hat is almost sideways. Baseball is a team sport, not a "look at me" sport.

Hopefully the opposing hitters are thinking as much about the hat as you guys are. The Rays are happy to have this guy, his hat and his arrows (and his saves).

Rodney is a better pitcher with his had tilted which is fine with me. It's science!
