Below is a picture that comes to us via the Twitter feed of 620 WDAE. That is Ryan Roberts showing off some new batting gloves that have the palm logos much like those seen on football gloves at the college level and to a less extent in the NFL. For fear of having a “GET OFF MY LAWN!” moment, I will refrain from further comment.
[Update] Apparently these are just prototypes at this point.

Roberts arms speaks volumes about his mentality, if the Hell’s angels get a team, hes #1 draft choice, does he have a bike?

I’ve personally met Roberts and spent about 20 minutes in a 1:1 conversation. He is a very humble person. He is happy to be with the Rays and considers himself blessed to able to play the game. Just because a guy is into tattoos doesn’t say a thing about him as a person or player. Not nearly as much as someone passing judgment based upon such a superficial trait does, anyway.
The logo on the gloves still matches up better than the ones on the front of the jersey… Go figure…
