If you have been around these parts for a while, you know that one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to the Rays is the use of the headline “The Price is Right.” It is lazy. It is cheesy. And it is overused. A good search for “David Price” and “Price is Right” returns over 50,000 results. And sure enough, after Price won the Cy Young Award last night, the headline at MLB.com was “Price is right: Rays ace wins AL Cy Young” (see below).

But thankfully, the tbt* came through with the perfect headline…

OK, so maybe we’re a little biased because that has been the nickname we have used around here ever since the young, but favored prospect, Price, appeared late and led the Rays over the Goliathian Red Sox in 2008. But it is simple, true, and a million times better than this…
