Jon Heyman mentioned earlier this week that Jeremy Hellickson is drawing a lot of interest from other teams looking to trade for a starting pitcher. And now he specifically mentions the Cubs as one team that would love to have Hellboy in their rotation.
Jeremy Hellickson interests Cubs (and many, many others), but north siders probably don’t have the chips needed.
And the reason the Cubs don’t have “the chips needed” is the same reason why I am surprised they would be interested. All those chips are already in the Rays organization thanks to the Matt Garza trade. And yes, that was a different general manager, but many of their fans are still scarred by that move.
