It doesn't matter, we're now only a 1/2 game from being 3 or less games behind the O's before our 3 game series against'em...

Actually they are only 3 back in the loss column. so technically, the Rays control their own destiny. If they win out, the worst they can do is tie the Orioles. BUT be careful. There are 2 other teams ahead of the Rays and the Rays don't control their destiny against those teams.
10-4 on 3!
So, assuming the O's take 2 of 3 from Boston, that puts them at 91-68. To stay three behind and have a chance during the last series, the Rays have to take 3 of 4 from Chicago (who are also fighting for their playoffs) to be 88-71.
They've won their last 7, now they need to win 6 out of their next 7, meaning a 13-1 record down the stretch.
That's a tall order, but if they keep taking it one game at a time, you never know. Maybe Texas will figure it out and hand the A's the losses we had hoped for too.
