We’ve got Flash Jennings’ flying bat, an Ichiro bobblehead, and Alex Cobb’s stunned face. We’ve got the highlights you won’t see on SportsCenter…
Remember how earlier in the year we were getting no production from the right side of the plate with Longo out.
Now our lefthanded bats have completely gone cold.
Even our trio of light hitting RH catchers have been more productive than our ‘power’ lefties the last few weeks.
To those who clamored for everyday Matt Joyce against all comers, how’s that taste about now?
You can stick matt Joyce in the group of non-hitters on the Rays, LH/RH means nothing.. the only on team hitters Zobrist,Kepp, partime longo….
end of that story…
I did stick Joyce in there. Read the words I wrote. It does matter greatly when you are only dangerous as a team from one side of the plate. You are much easier to pitch against and game plan.
Research RH/LH splits you might learn something.
For two years in a row Matt Joyce has been a morning glory. He started strong and fizzled in the second half. What a dissapointment.
I think people are being hard on Joyce, he still has an OPs above .800, although I agree regarding the LH/RH split. His OPS is .259 better against righties (.865) than against lefties (.606).
