Joe is back with his postgame thoughts….

This 1-0 shutout stuff was a lot easier to take when it was Felix Hernandez on the mound, versus the immortal Luke Hochevar and his inflated ERA.

Hochevar was Tom Seaver tonight, leading the Royals to a two-hit, 10-inning embarrassment of the Rays at home.

How many brilliant David Price starts have been pissed away this season?

The killer unearned run in the 10th inning never should have happened. Either Ben Zobrist has to realize he can’t make that throw from short left field, or Karlos Pena has to grab or knock down that big, clean hop easily. There wasn’t that much on the throw.

One can only hope tonight’s headscratcher leads to another breakout offensive performance tomorrow. That’s pretty much how the unpredictable Rays roll these days.

SS(zobrist) trying to make a play that wasn't possible. gave away the game in process, trying to do toooooo much. two games in a row that the SS had issues with the throw to first.
