We’ve got Dewayne Staats’ nose hairs, Laura McKeeman looking sharp, a shark eating a stuffed cat, and the most Yankees family ever. We’ve got the highlights you won’t see on SportsCenter (via SunSports and YES Network)…
For the past many weeks. The standings webpage on MLB.com opened up with the “Wild Card” tab view.
Now its opening to the again more interesting “Regular Season” tab view….
Yanks are on a pace to win 94+ Games, Rays to 90+
I dont expect them to falter at all so we need to get to 95 to 97 to win the division possibly.
38 games left so we need to win maybe 27 and thats a tall order in MLB in any stretch
27 and 11.
With 12 series left that means we will have to win virtually every series.
The alternative route will be to take something like 5 of the 6 remaining with the Yanks which will lower the bar.
Six weeks to go
I don’t think you can look at it that way. If the Rays are currently 3 games back. If they go 4-2 (difficult but doable) in their 6 games against the Yankees and then finish 1 game better than the Yankees in the rest of the games, the Yankees and Rays are tied for the division.
I really think catching the Yankees is doable.
Thats what i meant by taking the series convincingly lowering the bar yes we agree.
So the two series are crucial.
Plus we must outplay them against the field.
We also NEED to exact revenge on the Pale Hose who cleaned our clocks back in May! Closing out the season vs them makes this CRUCIAL!!
