On Joe Maddon booking the wrong flight: This is the sort of thing I do all the time...but don't the Rays have people to take care of these things for their staff? Does Joe Maddon really have to go on Orbitz like the rest of us?

He was just taking the fall for the travelling secretary or whatever they call that position. it was just Maddon being Maddon. Thats my guess anyway.

Remembering the collective sigh of relief when Briggy was last sent down, the fact that some look forward to his return says some things about our offense AND defense and none of them good things.

Also to view him as a good defensive shortstop is relative as well. I rate him as an average to slightly below average SS compared to other ML. He screws up too many routine plays for my taste. But yeah he is better than our other 6 options defensively.

But come back after a few weeks of that looping uppercut swing which hits AAA pitching enough but will forever be below the mendoza line in MLB, and see how you feel then.
