Don’t sugarcoat it. Give it to us straight. How bad is it Doc?
Oh, it’s pretty bad. Consider that the pitching staff has a 3.19 ERA in the last 10 games, and yet the Rays are just 3-7 during that stretch. And that’s because the batters are averaging just 5 hits and 2 walks per game. They are hitting .167 and a .223 OBP…NOT LETHAL, JUST VOMIT-INDUCING

Not a typo. The answer to the Rays anemic offense is apparently Elliot Johnson leading off.
Probably more a case of having Jennings in a run producing spot. It doesn’t matter, our only real shot is for Price to be like he’s been almost all year and for Sabathia to just not have it for a night…

Actually I would sit Pena tonite if Jabba the Hut was behind the plate and DH Lobaton. If Giminez were active I would play him in place of Carlos too.
