Playing A Little Pepper

With the bullpen in shambles, how many innings do the Rays need from Alex Cobb tonight?

The Rays probably have just four available relievers tonight, and two of those guys (JP Howell, Jake McGee) pitched on both Saturday and Sunday. And the situation may not be much better tomorrow. So Cobb needs to be efficient and he better throw at least 7 innings. Anything less, and the Rays will be in trouble…SEVEN STRONG

  1. Flash Jennings, LF
  2. Carlos Pena, 1B
  3. BJ Upton, CF
  4. Hideki Matsui, DH
  5. Ben Zobrist, RF
  6. Brooks Conrad, 3B
  7. Sean Rodriguez, 2B
  8. Jose Molina, C
  9. Elliot Johnson, SS
  10. Alex Cobb, SP

This is painful to watch... Guys did not come to play.

  2. Dave L says:

That was weird. Cobb was sharp.

It was like watching Dick Bosman when i was a kid pitch his ass off but get no support complete game loss.

  3. ChrisFromNaples says:

As long as they take 2 of 3, I'm okay with what happened tonight. Late night on the plane, and all that. If they throw another blank up tomorrow, it's time to start calling for Shelton's head. Which we should have already.
