Playing A Little Pepper…
CoolStandings.com says the Rays now have a 57.9% chance of making the playoffs. Should that number be higher or lower?
Despite losing 2 of 3 to the A’s, the Rays have been red hot. And certainly there were be injuries and cold stretches to come. But defense rarely slumps, and as we saw this morning, the Rays defense might be worth 15+ wins this season. Also consider that the Rays will likely only need 90-91 wins to make qualify for the expanded playoffs. And with 19 wins already, they just need to go 72-61 to get to 91 wins…HIGHER

Also, there is an unconfirmed report that Brandon Guyer is on his way to New York, meaning either Desmond Jennings is going on the DL (more likely) or the Rays are cutting Brandon Allen (less likely).
