Re: "Avid Video Watcher" That was greatness. BA said something like, "He watches a lot of tape, always trying to figure out how to do it better."

... and then they moved on like nothing happened. I love those guys...

This has to be the most frustrating team to watch on the planet. I am so envious of other teams and their ability to actually hit the ball instead of striking out. Chicago had men on and hit good pitches to drive runs in. What a novel idea! They knew Shields throws the ball down a lot with his change up and they were waiitng on it.

While I feel you pain I am far from envious of other teams......I kind of enjoy making the playoffs and seeing guys who remember this is game and have fun playing this game.

The Rays would rather have Navarro over AJ and a WS ring??

asking whether a team should play dirty to win is no different than wondering if it is OK to use steroids as long as a ring comes with the back pimples. Both are against the rules. And if the Rays are going to win a world series, I would prefer they do it the right way.

Sliding hard into second isn't against the rules. The Rays didn't like it and retaliated on the field. No problem. But you can't retaliate and then whine like a 2 year old when the other team doesn't lay down and take it.

Just stop. There is sliding hard and there is sliding late with spikes up. The latter is huge no-no in baseball and always has been. Don't insult the game by trying to pretend that it was just "sliding hard."
