Things got ugly at the end of game one of this series with the Red Sox, as Luke Scott (finally) got hit after three previous pitches just missed him. There was a lot of pushing and shoving and no punches were thrown. But clearly the blood is boiling and this is far from over.

At the end of skirmish there was an additional scene in which apparently a fan threw something (a bottle?) at BJ Upton.

Here’s the video which starts with the first pitch of the at bat. Benches clear at the 0:25 mark (via NESN and Sun Sports)…

Unbelievable.. Sox are just horrible players... Targeting and hitting people like that. Not to mention the coaches are probably giving them lessons on how to hit people.

I say next time the pitcher hits Scott, they get booted from the game.

You know, the ironic thing is that the umps did nothing about the obvious throwing at Luke Scott last night. And when DH David Ortiz comes to the plate tonight to lead off the second inning, and David Price sticks a 98 MPHer in his ribs on the first pitch, Price'll get tossed, and probably so will Maddon.

I'm with you Pablo. The umpire is to blame. The first pitch should've drawn a warning. Then the high inside should've gotten him tossed.

How about the very end? The fan threw something at upton. Not only is the entire red sox organization a joke, but their fans are horrible too
