Playing A Little Pepper

With Reid Brignac being demoted, have we seen the last of Briggy Baseball with the Rays?

It will be interesting to see who plays shortstop at triple-A Durham. The Bulls already have Tim Beckham playing short. And he is probably blocking Hak-Ju Lee, a better shortstop prospect that is currently in double-A. Some think Beckham will eventually move to second base, and Brignac would give them a good excuse to make the move now. But if Beckham stays at shortstop, Brignac’s tenure with the Rays may end after a September call-up…YES, IF BECKHAM IS STILL A SHORTSTOP

I think we've seen enough of Reid. His fielding is good but not great. And his hitting has been consistantly poor and never timely.

I am sure the others mentioned can AT LEAST hit .200 in a september call up and at least have upside.

AAA and AA is fillled with nice middle infielders who cant hit major league pitching. You just hope they can make the jump and Reid couldn't.

I like him as a chemistry guy but he cant help us win playoff games and thats what we should be looking for this year.
