Today is (finally) opening day for the Rays. This post, which will appear before every game, will include starting lineups (when we learn them) and during the game will include a Game Graph that will constantly update the percent chance the Rays have of winning this particular game. And you want, we can hang out and chat before (and during) the game.

Playing A Little Pepper…
Of 50 ESPN experts to make predictions for the 2012 season, seven have the Rays winning the World Series. Only the Angels and Rangers received more picks. That’s kinda crazy. Are the Rays really the best team in the AL East, and how many games will they win?
No, the Rays are not the best team in the AL East. There are still holes in the lineup and the one thing the Rays can’t afford is already happening, injuries. That being said, the Rays have the best starting pitching in the division. And if rotations needed 7 starters, the Rays would be the best team in baseball. Oh yeah, and the Yankees are still the Yankees (the Red Sox are not). That being said, the Rays pitching is good enough to avoid long losing streaks. And the Rays will likely only need 89-90 wins to make the playoffs. Look for the Rays to win…91 games
Lineup…
- Flash Jennings, CF
- Ben Zobrist, RF
- Evan Longoria, 3B
- Jeff Keppinger, DH
- Sean Rodriguez, SS
- Carlos Pena, 1B
- Elliot Johnson, 2B
- Jose Molina, C
- Matt Joyce, LF
- James Shields, SP

Everybody’s hitting .000….we will see who’s who’s…
At 2:29pm just heard Maddon changed batting order..less than 1 hr. before 1st pitch…what a beauty!!!
Sternberg and a bunch of players greeted the fans today.
Random thought as I am talking to people about the Rays…
I dont think Upton Haters hate him as much the Apologists think they do. And it’s too bad because it forces everybody to be categorized as one extreme or the other.
Bottom line, we’re a better team with him than without him.
BTW, the lineup has been update. Carlos Pena now hitting 6th.
Here’s the Carlos Pena Grand Slam video.

Great way to unveil the game graph.
Big Game, Molina didn’t throw a fat pitch to Ibanez…get a grip.
I seen a few things Molina could be yelled at for defense…but I would really come unglued on is missed signs and his bunting ability…don’t ask him again for bunting….Maddon…please
