Via Stacy Long comes this great quote from Wade Davis on the possibility of becoming a relief pitcher:

“I’ll go down there and kick ass, too,”

Yes! And just like that, he pulls us back in!

  1. Michael says:

There's something about Wade that is easy to like

  2. Blake says:

Definitely pictured Al Pacino saying the last sentence of this piece.

  3. Don says:

Don't know who's ass hes going to kick it won't be any big time ML hitters, Next stop Durham...

    • Ian P. says:

You're right don, winning 12-13 games each year he's been in the rotation (which were also his very first two seasons) on a team like the late-scoring rays in the AL EAST is pretty friggen easy. And let's be sure not to think about the guts he shows in playoff appearances, all while battling and overcoming injury last year and the kids wife has cancer. Nice.

  4. Gus says:

David pitched well in relief in the ALDS and is underappreicated by the Rays fan base. The Rays should not be in the business of giving away arms. Starting pitchers get hurt, struggle. And if Wade Davis/Chuck Norris is down there ready to take a job, that is good for the team.
